I achieved my MSc and PhD between 2010 and 2015 at the Universities of NUIG and UC3M respectively. Both my masters and doctorate research lays in the areas of process management and process intelligence, with my doctorate focusing on innovative models and technological solutions for monitoring and analysing business process executions on big data domains.
Thesis:Business Intelligence 2.0: Integration of event data from heterogeneous systems to support business process analysis and simulation.
I currently work at the infrastructure department at the Zalando's Dublin hub building up the next generation of the Zalando's Smart Fashion Platform which is based on a myriad of micro-systems within an event-driven ecosystem that work at scale.
I worked as a Senior Engineer at the devlopment of the Workday's content migration product.
I worked as a Senior Engineer at the platform core development team building the next generation of the Personal Cloud product. Personal cloud is the Synchronoss' flagship product that operates at massive scale serving hundreds of millions of subscribers across the globe and ingesting hundreds of terabytes of user data on a daily basis.

My research interest lays in the wide areas of Enterprise Information Systems and Software Architectures in general. Particulary, I'm interested in running applied research over innovative solutions and systems that make use of cutting-edge technologies to bring value-added services to corporations. My most recent research activities have been focused on building technological approaches for optimizing business processes on big data domains by monitoring and analysing their execution paths in or near real-time. This narrows down the most up-to-date research fields to Cloud Computing and Big Data arenas with a special emphasis on emerging topics such as IoT and Smart Cities.
